    Job Summary:

    The HEMODIALYSIS NURSE facilitates the coordination of dialysis patients care under the direction of the nephrologists. They perform all tasks involved with the dialysis procedure including direct patient care prior to, during and after the procedure. Additionally, the HEMODIALYSIS NURSE supervises hemodialysis technicians as needed in performing dialysis treatments, and other duties as assigned.Enjoy a great working enviroment with amazing perks such as nursing license renewal, every Sunday off, major hoildays off, scrub and shoe allowances.

    $70,000 - $85,000 annually

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Perform all tasks involved with the dialysis procedure
    • Supervise hemodialysis technicians
    • Evaluate patients physical, emotional and psychological status
    • Executes plans of care in accordance with an interdisciplinary approach
    • Evaluates patients response to treatment and lab work
    • Reports to the physician as needed, and adjusts treatment plan when indicated within the guidelines of established protocol
    • Performs all tasks, procedures, treatments and administration of medications that are designated to an RN
    • Collect CQI data as assigned
    • Participates as an interdisciplinary team member in developing long and short term care plans
    • Maintains the confidentiality of all Practice information regarding patients, coworkers and physicians
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor or physician, whether patient related or not.
    Directs the Following Staff
    • Hemodialysis Technicians
    Position Requirements

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Must possess ability to exercise expert judgment and develop insight into delivering appropriate care
    • Must possess ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly and concisely. Must be capable of delegating clerical and technical duties and other tasks effectively
    • Must possess ability to meet physical demands of the position. These include, but are not limited to sitting, standing, bending, lifting and moving. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
    • Ability to excel in stressful, fast-paced work environment subject to frequent interruptions and hostile and emotionally upset patients, family members, staff, etc. Continuously serves as a mediator between patients, family members and Practice staff
    Education, Certification and Experience Required:
    • Successful completion of an accredited RN nursing program.
    Physical and Environmental Conditions:
    • The Hemodialysis Nurse is expected to exercise universal precautions in the performance of all duties as this position.
