Bleigh Ready Mix is seeking an experienced and motivated Concrete Batch Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations in Hannibal, Missouri. This leadership role is responsible for production efficiency, quality control, safety compliance, equipment reliability, and team development.
If you have hands-on batching experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of ready-mix concrete operations, we want you on our team.
Position Summary
The Plant Manager directs all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality concrete production while meeting customer delivery expectations. This position also supports delivery operations as needed and leads plant personnel to maintain exceptional performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the concrete batch plant
- Ensure accurate batching, mix design compliance, and product quality
- Oversee production schedules, inventory levels, and delivery logistics
- Lead, train, and develop plant and driver personnel
- Enforce OSHA, DOT, environmental, and company safety standards
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime
- Maintain trucks, plant equipment, and facilities in excellent condition
- Monitor and manage aggregates, cement, admixtures, and fuel inventory
- Maintain production records, batch tickets, and required documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in concrete batching or ready-mix plant operations
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs, materials, and batching systems, trucks and plants
- CDL license with clean driving record preferred
· Experience with Keystone and Command Alkon on software a plus
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED required (technical/trade background a plus)
- Ability to pass post-offer drug screen, physical, and background check
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial plant environment
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
- Ability to work extended hours, early mornings, and Saturdays as needed
- Climb stairs, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs
