    Soni Resources' client is seeking a

    Senior Accountant


    to join their team In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of the organization.

    You will leverage your accounting expertise to manage monthly and year-end close processes, reconcile accounts, and prepare various financial reports.

    Responsibilities:
    Reconcile accounts and prepare documentation for smooth monthly close procedures

    Assist the CFO and external auditors with year-end closing processes

    Review financial documents and accounts for discrepancies, and resolve any variances

    Manage various accounting functions including prepaid accounts, schedules, reconciliations, event settlements, month-end accruals, and financial reporting

    Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules for accurate calculations

    Track funds, prepare deposits, and reconcile accounts

    Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and other account balances to ensure accurate transaction tracking

    Prepare and process a high volume of weekly journal entries for recording in the General Ledger (GL)


    Qualifications:
    Prior experience in the healthcare or non-profit industry (strongly preferred)

    Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and month-end close processes

    Experience reconciling accounts, creating journal entries, and preparing financial reports

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail

    Prior experience with Sage Intacct (strongly preferred)

    Proficiency in advanced Excel functions

    Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

    Experience with grant accounting is a plus

    5 days per week in-office presence required in Camden, NJ


    Compensation:
    $50-$70/hour

    Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications .
