- Inspect, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize instruments and patient care equipment following processing guidelines and standards

Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments throughout the hospital and clinics. This role focuses on infection control and safety practices at every stage of the process.
Reports to: Sterile Processing Manager and Director of Surgery.
Responsibilities of the Position:
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Certifications/Licenses:
CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (IAHCSMM) certification is required within 2 years of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
