POSITION SUMMARY: This position performs processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and pneumatic tooling to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications and supports the paintline production by performing non-painting skills such as hanging and removing parts from the line.

• Ability to pickup parts from pallet, extend arms overhead to reach paint line hooks and hang parts on the line.
• Ability to inspect painted parts for adequate paint coverage and damage.
• Ability to remove painted parts from paintline and stack onto a pallet, hang on a cart or place in a tub.
• Ability to work with chemicals, solvents and lubricants.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and pneumatic tooling such as screw drivers, utility knives, screw guns and drills to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Must be able to cut insulation and use chemicals, adhesives, paints and inks.
• Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection of component parts prior to assembly using basic measuring tools.
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
• Maintain work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Pushing/Pulling frequently up to 7 hours a day.
• Fine manipulation occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
• Grip frequently up to 7 hours a day for tool use and parts handling.
• Balance continuously up to 10 hours a day - working around equipment or parts.
• Lift/Carry parts ranging from 0 lb. – 10 lbs. continuously up to 10 hours a day.
• Lift/Carry parts ranging from 10 lbs. – 20 lbs. frequently up to 7.0 hours a day.
• Lift/Carry parts ranging from 20 lbs. – 50 lbs. occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to handle temperature range of 60 to 115 degrees, depending upon seasons.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) months of related factory experience
