Purpose of PositionThe primary purpose of this position is to perform routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures and develop standards of care.

Scope of ResponsibilityAs a Registered Respiratory Therapist you will maintain respiratory equipment, ensure ventilators and life support equipment are operable, perform invasive procedures and provide routine respiratory patient assessment.

You will also be responsible for any advanced diagnostic testing, patient assessment, and intervention as needed. May also serve as a preceptor for other therapists. Minimum Requirements Associates Degree or two year Certification in Respiratory CareLicensed by the Texas Medical BoardObtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare ProviderObtains and maintains NRP within 90 days of hire Obtains and maintains ACLS within 90 days of hireObtains and maintains PALS within 6 months of hire1 year Respiratory care experience preferred
