Job Description:
About the Role:The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible to lead, train and supervise the operations departments during the shift.

Includes overseeing the staff and workflow to meet our quality and client specifications in a safe and respectful work environment.

Departments to oversee may include Collation, Picking, QC/Pack, Mailing, Digital Print and Bindery. Hours are generally 3:00pm - 11:00pm; M-F.

What You'll Do:
Responsible for moving work through the facility as efficiently as possible while adhering to internal and customer SLA'sAbility to troubleshoot and analyze equipment and/or workflow issues; contacts necessary technician(s) for equipment issues unable to be resolvedAbility to work within multiple job management software applications simultaneouslyKeeps the manager advised and informed in regards to all matters relevant to the jobInvestigates questionable orders and tracks down orders that are mismatched/misshippedOperates equipment as neededHandles timekeeping as well as verbal communications for direct employees (workplace or workflow changes); handles disciplinary actions as neededResponsible for reporting employee time/cards and information for machine downtime using SharePoint siteAssists in cross-training and labor utilization of employees; keeps all employees on task at all timesWrites and gives yearly reviews for all direct employeesConsults with other department leads/supervisors/managers regarding any workflow changes or issuesAssists in the interviewing process of potential employeesMust be able to handle a demanding work environment and stressful situations in calm mannerFacilitate all necessary training for staff

About You:
Read work orders and follow instructions accurately.
Perform basic math calculations.
Communicate clearly both verbally and written.
Work with variable information workflows.
Meet and exceed set quality and productivity standards.
Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft programs.
Moderate mechanical skillsTroubleshooting issues.
Knowledge and able to recognize issues with paper stocks.
Work in high-volume, high-pressure print environment.
Ability to interact with internal/external clients/customers in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years' experience in digital printMinimum of 2 years supervisor experience
