- Define and drive the multi-year team vision that showcases the technical north star for what your team is building and the staff allocation plan to support it.
- Work closely with engineers to architect and deliver the best technical designs and approaches for the high level systems that maintain and control optimal state of the quantum computer.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners to help integrate new functionality into the systems control platform across multiple projects and hardware targets.
- Run agile planning meetings and utilize Jira for tracking work across the team.
- Hire, support, and mentor to meet the goals of the team and each individual engineer.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading or contributing to multiple complex hardware/software product development efforts. - 1+ years experience of engineering team management
- 4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing hardware/software systems.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, security certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams to create and drive your team's technical and business roadmap.
You'd be a great fit with: - Deep expertise in Go and/or Rust with distributed systems experience.
- A background in robotics, embedded systems or OS device drivers development
- Experience with programmatic device control (SCPI, MODBUS, etc. over serial, USB, TCP)
