    Network Systems Administrator, Senior

    The Opportunity:

We're looking for a system administrator who specializes in operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems to help us deploy next-generation solutions for a safer and more secure digital landscape.

    As a system administrator on our project, you'll help plan, develop, and perform lab, functional, and integration testing. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like VMWare, Linux, Cisco, and Palo Alto. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administration leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network so your clients achieve their goals.     You Have:

    • 5+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and providing advanced support to multi-protocol and multi-vendor IP backbone and access network equipment and solutions, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, HPE, or Juniper
    • 5+ years of experience with operating and maintaining VMWare ESXi environments
    • 3+ years of experience with operating, deploying, or administering Linux or Unix systems
    • Experience with deploying and administering SD WAN solutions
    • Secret clearance
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 or 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 3 months of hire

    Nice If You Have:

    • Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, VPLS, IPsec, STP, or L3VPNs
    • Experience with applying STIGs to systems or security hardening of systems
    • Experience with classified networks
    • CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, Linux, JN CIA, or JNCP Certification

    Clearance:

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Secret clearance is required.

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
