    DraftKings is searching for a proactive Employee Relations Specialist to act as a partner to our key business functions. In this role, you will conduct fair, unbiased, and consistent investigations and respond to various team member issues and escalations. This position will help drive an integrated employee relations strategy that aligns with DraftKings' mission and overall business strategy. You will provide recommendations and insight to Business & HR teams related to employee relations matters, including critical input into the formation of consistent application of policies across DraftKings. You will work closely with the DraftKings Legal team to escalate allegations and concerns that pose substantial risks to the company. By using your deep expertise in conducting employee relations investigations, you can focus on a customer-first approach and thrive in a fast-paced business environment.

    What you'll do as an Employee Relations Specialist

    • Provide coaching and collaboration with employees and management to maintain positive working relationships, identify and mitigate employment risks while fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, fairness and equity.
    • Autonomously handle concerns with employee performance including creating effective performance improvement plans, assisting the manager and employee through the duration of the plan, and bringing the situation to a successful resolution.
    • Thoroughly and expeditiously conduct investigations related to complex team member allegations and concerns that could implicate significant legal, regulatory, financial, or other risks, such as harassment, discrimination, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing support and recommendations to managers. This will include performance management, employee discipline, policy interpretation, leaves and termination processes.
    • Develop strong relationships with managers to quickly resolve matters within the organization.
    • Lead with our DK Behaviors, ensuring integrity and empathy in handling all aspects of confidential information.
    What you'll bring
    • 2+ years of experience in a fully dedicated Employee Relations role with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or a related field.
    • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Experience facilitating productive mediation sessions and in conflict resolution.
    • Ability to partner with HR and business stakeholders to achieve results through effective problem-solving, critical thinking and collaboration.
    • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to effectively manage overlapping projects or tasks with reliability and efficiency.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72, $108,000.00, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
