    Quality Engineer

    Our Global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) business is seeking a Quality Engineer for production facility located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. Global I&C produces complex, electro-mechanical instrumentation systems used in commercial nuclear industry for customers worldwide.


    The quality engineer must be able to proactively participate as a member of the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with Westinghouse's Quality Management System, customer contract requirements, industry and regulatory codes, standards, specifications, and requirements.

    In this position, a Quality Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
    Recommend, develop, and implement Product Line and departmental Quality policies, procedures, and instructions in accordance with customer requirements, applicable standards, and country specific government regulations
    Work effectively with both domestic and international customers and suppliers to resolve programmatic deficiencies
    Develop and implement project surveillance programs to ensure compliance with technical specifications
    Participate on self-assessments and/or internal audits of Westinghouse Global I&C departments to ensure compliance with applicable QA codes/standards
    Write corrective actions reports and work with functional organizations to resolve issues to ensure programmatic compliance
    Represent Westinghouse and provide input during external QA audits conducted by customers, government agencies, etc.

    Verify accuracy of operational procedures, tests result records and review inspection procedures to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and design engineering specifications.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical or quality discipline
    0 - 2 Years of experience
    Knowledge of quality assurance concepts and principles
    An understanding of commercial nuclear industry or other regulated industry
    Strong computer skills
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills


    Travel requirements:
    Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required
    Ability to travel domestically and internationally
