    The System Analyst provides user support related to computer applications including research, assessment, testing, troubleshooting, implementation, training, and related documentation.

    Together with users, vendors, corporate office, and site IS personnel the Systems Analyst will develop and implement enhancements to meet user functional requirements, provide technical support and consultation to the Director of Information Services, be proactive in problem solving and system/service improvements, and assure system security, appropriate levels of user access, activation and deactivation.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Works closely with the Help Desk to resolve client problems.

    Primary Paragon SQL database administrator.

    Assist in all clinical and financial system areas.

    This will include troubleshooting, process improvement, analysis, implementation and use of new vendor applications, as well as preparing and maintaining training materials (including hard copy and on-line text and related policies/procedures) for physicians, nurses, other clinical providers, and site IS personnel.

    Assist with system maintenance as a liaison between the department and the vendor.

    Assist in ad hoc report writing.

    Analyze end user and departmental needs and recommend process improvements or software solutions. Evaluate hardware and software products, and document specifications for software implementation and interfacing.

    Contribute to the IS department's project management process by reporting project progress and resource utilization.

    Write scripts in multiple applications.

    Assist maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting the Paragon Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

    Assist in EMR system upgrades, patches and enhancements.

    Assist in maintaining EMR clinical and financial environments. Assure that the databases are accurate, properly interfaced and integrated.

    Webmaster for hospital's internet and intranet sites. Updates site documents, links, images, etc as directed.

    Provide on-call and callback coverage as required.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Services.


    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
    Associate degree or equivalent

    LICENSING/REGISTRATION/


    CERTIFICATION:
    None required.


    EXPERIENCE:
    2-3 years preferred.


    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Strong software analysis & troubleshooting skills.

    Ability to handle multiple software problems or issues simultaneously

    Ability to work under minimal supervision
