The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the health care continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge.
A Nurse Practitioner's practice incorporates both independent decision-making abilities and collaboration with the board certified/eligible physician to provide expert care to the patients.
Qualifications Experience Requirements:
One (1) plus years' experience as Nurse Practitioner in acute hospital. (preferred)
Three (3) plus years of nursing experience. (preferred) Prior experience in cardiac or cardiac surgery strongly preferred Educational/Licensure/Certifications Requirements:
Master of Nursing Degree Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License (eligible to obtain) National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current DEA license (schedule 2-5) and NP Furnishing Number Current BLS and ACLS certification Jobs-Indeed LI-Onsite Req
