    Overall Goal of Position:
    The Brand Manager for Mateo's is accountable for the Mateo's brand across all channels and retailers. Responsibilities include defining and executing the brand strategy for Mateo's.

    The Brand Manager will oversee a wide array of business functions including brand strategy, communication channels, product development, online and offline promotions, and market research.

    The Brand Manager reports to the President of Condiments. Key stakeholders include Commercial Team members, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.

    The Brand Manager position will be required to manage the Mateo's brand to ensure the delivery of creative, fact-based solutions and thought leadership that will help build Sauer Brands and help make .


    Job Summary:
    Primary responsibility for identifying and accelerating all appropriate consumer touchpoints of the brand marketing mix for Mateo's Salsa.

    Measured metrics include Sales growth, Brand share, Brand profitability, budget management, delivery of new items on time and under budget, Brand "Love" (aka Affinity), and relevance scores against target audience.

    Position works collaboratively within the marketing team and division teams as well as R&D, Commercial and agency/media partners to advance seamless planning and execution.


    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    Monitor and Analyze (Provide well informed solutions)

    Be all over food/flavor trends and emerging consumer "foodie" actions, competitive activity in and outside the category to anticipate changes and recommend opportunities for the Brand.

    Marketing expert in the International food aisle that informs company-wide understanding of the landscape and how to drive our brands within it for customers & consumers

    Demographic changes in media consumption trends, new platforms to engage the target, and trends in order to anticipate consumers' desires for new products.

    Guerilla marketing ideas/tactics to drive advancement of assigned brands.
    Align and track with annual KPIs
    Develop and Implement Key Strategies

    Helps lead the execution of brand positioning, including all elements of the marketing mix, including but not limited to Brand "voice", Product Portfolio, Consumer Messaging, Packaging, Pricing Strategies, Distribution Strategies, etc.

    Serve as a strong interface with agency partners working closely on communication strategy and creative output and means to execute.

    Marketing communication to include traditional as well as non-traditional awareness building/ advertising, PR, social/digital media, sampling and event activities, and other consumer activation tactics.

    Communicate, Coordinate, Collaborate (Push and Prod)

    Works in collaboration with key Commercial Team members across channels to ensure consistency of tactical activities with overall brand direction, and to support development of appropriate selling tools, POS and collateral materials.

    Education & Experience:
    BS/BA degree required. MBA welcomed
    Minimum 3-5 years CPG Brand Management or Agency side experience
    Experience with "challenger" brands a big plus
    Food industry experience desired ,but not required
    Ideal candidate has big company and nimble "little guy" experience

    Other:
    Some travel required (10% - 20%)
