    This role entails overseeing data management and quantitative analyses of sourcing activities within the Strategic Sourcing Organization (SSO). The Analyst will play a vital role in the strategic sourcing process, dealing with intricate problems that demand the development of analytical tools, data scrutiny, and recommending solutions. Proficiency in utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform to create tools and solutions is highly valued. These solutions encompass creating, documenting, and executing repeatable processes to fulfill stakeholder needs. The Analyst must juggle multiple priorities to meet project deadlines.

    This position reports to the Applied Technology and Analytics Manager and is available in Milwaukee - Wisconsin, Mayfield Heights - Ohio, or Katowice - Poland.

    What you will be doing

    • Generate valuable insights through data for stakeholders.
      • The analyst takes the lead in designing processes for collecting and analyzing various datasets for assigned commodities/services. They plan, carry out, and synthesize valuable industry and market research for designated commodities to aid in sourcing strategy development. They support all financial and performance reporting for SSO.
    • Develop expertise in the strategic sourcing process
      • The analyst contributes to formulating sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and supplier management conducted by the Commodity Owner. They collaborate with Commodity Project Managers/Subject Matter Experts (engineering, marketing, quality, etc.) to devise commodity/service sourcing strategies. They handle requests for quotation (RFQ), design and oversee negotiation tools and processes for sourcing activities, prepare factual bases for supplier negotiations and business reviews, analyze historical and future spend/savings by commodity/business units/locations, report on supplier performance metrics, and conduct benchmarking studies. They support other Commodity-related activities to ensure stakeholders' success.
    • Comprehend supply chain and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities
      • The analyst should have an understanding of various supply chain models. They engage in internal and joint supplier/unit teams pursuing TCO reduction opportunities aligned with the Sourcing strategy (e.g., reducing inventory levels, improving yields, enhancing supplier operations, demand management, etc.).

    Your Skills

    • Essential skills include critical thinking, problem-solving, and root causal analysis. Ability to manipulate data, summarize findings, and investigate root causes is crucial.
    • Attention to detail and verification of data/solutions are vital. You should confirm the accuracy, logic, and plausibility of data/solutions.
    • Capability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects/tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with management, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
    • At least two years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, analytics, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel.
    • General familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in analyzing and combining multiple large datasets into a comprehensive solution. Ideally, this includes expertise in MS Power Query, MS Power BI, MS Access, any SQL language (MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc.), or other data aggregation tools beyond Excel.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power BI (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI).
    • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (preferably SAP).
    • Knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management.
