    Will I be a Supervisor in this role? No Am I required to drive? Yes, this role will be training staff at various PPRM Locations, and will need to be able to drive to and from locations.

    The Objective: This person will be responsible for supporting the APC Training program. They will support the Clinical Training Program Manager and Clinical Training Team in the evaluation, development and delivery of APC training. This person will be a clinical trainer (elbow to elbow) for PPRM advanced practice nurses, physician assistants and physicians who are acting as clinicians in PPRM health centers approximately 85% of the time.

    Success: You will know you are successful when APCs are onboarded and productive in their own health centers within the assigned timelines. APC trainees will report superb training and onboarding experience and our patients will have access across our system.

    Snapshot: This person will be utilized as a clinical trainer (elbow to elbow, and virtually) for PPRM advanced practice nurses, physician assistants and physicians who are acting as clinicians in PPRM health centers. They will be assigned to train new clinicians to PPRM and to ensure privileging and competence and will have direct patient care component each month. Hours for direct care to be determined based on need and budget. When not training this person will be updating training materials, attending team meetings, or managing training tracking documentation. This person can expect frequent travel to meet the training needs of PPRM. This person will support initial onboarding for health center APCs, Virtual Care Center APCs, and the training for both Medication Abortion and Gender Affirming Hormone Services.

    Qualifications:

  • Current Colorado or New Mexico state licensure, if an internal hire Level 2 clinician or above.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Women's Health.
  • Ability to become licensed in all the states where PPRM has health centers.
  • Supports the APC Lead Trainer in the maintenance, development and delivery of training programs and content as needed.
  • Supports the training team and Health Center Managers in the creation of training schedules.
  • Provides administrative support and logistics for training programs.
  • Ability to travel by plane and/or car to all PPRM health centers as needed.
  • Demonstrated record of excellent clinical judgment.
  • Comfort working within a protocol based clinical care system.
  • Extensive knowledge of PPRM's Medical Standards and Guidelines preferred,
  • Experience working as an APN II or III within PPRM or other PP affiliate is preferred.
  • Able to travel as required. Valid driver's license and insurance required.

  • Assists with program coordination and support for the Clinical Training Department.
  • Performs clinician evaluations for level changes as needed.
  • Trains and onboards new PPRM clinicians on clinical skills, specialty skills, charting/documentation, and medical follow-up on an assigned basis, including documentation in an Electronic Health Record.
  • Trains and onboards incoming and current PPRM clinicians as needed in accordance with skill provisions at all health centers in line with our MS&Gs and current medical best practices.
  • Serves as the proctor to train clinicians on new and updated services.
  • Provides direct patient care.
  • Serves as a resource in any area of documented expertise.
  • Serves as an APC Mentor when indicated and assigned.
  • Provides information, technical assistance, and training for nonlicensed staff and licensed staff as needed.
  • Administrative Duties 20% of the role

  • Participates in quarterly clinician calls.
  • Participates in Clinical Training Team meetings.
  • Participates in the hiring process for new PPRM clinicians as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with Quality Management team.
  • Maintains records in compliance with established program of new training progress with a strong focus on compliance.
  • Supports the Clinical Training program manager in the maintenance, development and delivery of training programs and content as needed.
  • Supports the Clinical Training Program Manager and Health Center Managers in the creation of training schedules.
  • Provides administrative support and logistics for training programs.
