    Branch Manager
    Overview
    The Retail Branch Manager is the Manager for a retail origination team and support (i.e. Loan Officer/Production Assistants and Processors) in a retail branch location. He/she will be responsible for managing and directing both the sales and operations teams within the branch. The Retail Branch Manager is also responsible for the financial performance of the branch.

    Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience with High School diploma or GED equivalent
    Bachelors Degree preferred

    Minimum of 5 – 7 years of Loan Origination experience, including a working knowledge of AUS systems, government & agency guidelines.

    Minimum of five years of supervisory experience
    Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with an emphasis on providing superior customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
    Ability to create, develop and maintain effective working relationships within all levels of the organization.
    Advanced knowledge of all aspects of the mortgage origination process, including but not limited to originating, processing, underwriting and closing policies and procedures

    Comprehensive knowledge of Agency (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA) programs and guidelines and investor and non-conforming lender programs.

    Thorough understanding of credit and the ability to review complex financial documents.
    Experience in using and/or supporting mortgage loan origination systems.
    Ability to coach and mentor a high performing team.

    Strong organizational and project management skills – must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

    Operates with the highest level of integrity while maintaining the organization's ethics.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – both financial and interpersonal.
    Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team environment based on the need.
    Ability to make sound judgments and business decisions in a fast-paced environment with the ability to escalate as needed.
    Experienced in managing P&Ls with a strong business acumen.
    Experience

    ary Responsibilities

    Manages the day to day activities of the branch, including but not limited to loan production, sales and operations performance, escalations, and P&L.

    Responsible for recruiting, training and coaching of all licensed originators in the branch.

    This includes the development and performance of all sales activities which includes minimum production goals and requirements, new customer and referral partner acquisition.

    Responsible for all lending operational functions including processing, within the branch location. Provides leadership, guidance, nd support to the operations team. Manages loan pipeline to ensure quality and timely processing of all loan applications. Provides direction to achieve daily priorities and monthly goals.
    Serves as subject matter expert on all origination activities. Manages the branch to achieve satisfactory safety, soundness, and compliance regulatory examination results.

    Ensures all loans are originated in compliance with state and federal laws, applicable agency and investor guidelines, and according to Company policies and procedures.

    Oversees the branch's hiring, performance appraisals, salary administration, disciplinary actions and terminations as required. Directs performance/productivity standards of all functions within the originations and operations areas.
    Handles exception items and resolves complex problems, including escalating as needed.
    Represents the company in a service area and participates in local initiatives as needed.
