    We are recruiting for a full time, 30-hour per week, Inpatient Scheduling Coordinator to join our skilled team of pediatric professionals in. This position is benefit eligible.
    About Us:
    Weisman Children's is a highly-acclaimed, community-based pediatric organization consisting of an acute care rehabilitation hospital, outpatient rehabilitation centers, and medical day care centers. We specialize in delivering individualized, family-centered care. By including family and caregivers in every step of the rehab process, along with an interdisciplinary approach to treatment, we give our patients every opportunity to reach their fullest potential.     Position Summary:
    The scheduling coordinator is an integral member of the department, performing various duties as necessary in support of the successful performance of the inpatient department.

    • Maintains inpatient and day hospital patients schedules on a daily and weekly basis, from admission to discharge
    • Acts as a liaison with Inpatient Therapy Department and other Rehab departments, communicating scheduling needs of patients
    • Collaborates with Inpatient Rehab Director in developing and maintaining staff schedules for inpatient Therapy Department
    • Assist with maintenance of IP rehab staff coverage, professional requirements and benefit tracking, and departmental organization
    Position Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Experience with Microsoft Office programs andworking with a computer database
    • Minimum of five years healthcare experience
    • Payroll experience preferred
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management and patient's families
    • Ability to function independently or under supervision as task requires
    • Organizational and time management skills
    • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with changes in workload and departmental needs
