    **Overview:**

    Prepare surfaces and applies paint, varnish, stain, wall paper and coatings to help beautify and protect exterior and interior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures to preserve buildings, equipment, midways and rides.

    This position pays $20/hr.

    **Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.**

    **How You'll Make A Difference:**

    Prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, or other means to attain desired surface to apply paint, wallpaper or product specified to inside and outside surfaces of buildings, structures, rides, and other areas.

    Prepares repairs such as drywall repair, stucco repair, etc.

    Utilize pre-coating agents, filling and leveling materials, and mix and match colors and textures.

    Read blueprints, drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets in the successful completion of assigned painting task.

    Apply paint, vinyl and wallpaper including special papers and fabrics to walls, furniture and structures.

    Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.

    Remove previous paint by means of sandblasting, scraping, sanding, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning.

    Inspect and refurbish wall surfaces by means of the appropriate materials.

    Uses HVLP (conventional) spray equipment.

    Preforms airless rig operations.

    Paints with brush and roller.

    Preforms work on scaffold/elevated platforms.

    Performs occasional operation of forklifts.

    Operates pressure washers.

    Monitors shop stock/inventory.

    Maintains clean work area.

    Other duties as assigned.

    **We're Looking For:**

    Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience painting is required.

    Strong communication skills.

    Ability to work from color blueprints.

    High level familiarity and experience working with shop tools.

    Prior experience mixing paint products is required.

    Ability to work independently and as a team.

    Ability to meet deadlines.

    Must be comfortable working on ladders and from heights.

    Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

    Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

    Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
