    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are looking for passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic people who enjoy helping kids. The tutor will be a role model for participating students and a reliable assistant for the Site Director and Instruction Coordinator. Must be comfortable thinking on their feet and able to creatively problem solve. The tutor will interact with students in a large and small group setting. Will need confidence in their ability to engage and support students of varying ages.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Positively impact the summer program through upbeat interactions with students.
    • Support program staff to implement all program curricula.
    • Engage with students as a secondary instructor to clarify directions and motivate the completion of tasks.
    • Reinforce behavior expectations and redirect disruptive students.
    • Lead indoor games during free time/transitional periods.
    • Assist coordinators in outdoor playtime.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Consistent communication regarding availability and good work ethic.
    • Firm understanding of early childhood language arts and math.
    • Experience with conflict resolution.
    • Previous work with children in an academic or recreational setting.
    • Possess a high level of maturity; be self-disciplined and able to work as part of a team.
    • Summer program running Monday through Thursday, 9am - 4pm
