    Lead Orthopedic Technician

    for our

    Southside Clinic

    in

    Jacksonville, FL

    Please see below for the functions and requirements needed to be considered for this position:

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
    Responsible for the overall daily production and administrative activities within the various Durable Medical Equipment
    Dispensing locations. Oversees all inventory, ordering, staffing and authorization procedures. Acts as the primary contact for DME sales personnel desiring to introduce new products.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    Ensures the development of departmental plans, goals, and policies/procedures.
    Maintains staff assignments for all locations and assists with coverage as needed.
    Maintains inventory levels at all locations for DME clinical operations.
    Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders: patients, insurance companies, and partners.
    Provides regular training to team members for departmental procedures and workflow.
    Conducts weekly audits of inventory, DME notes, DME fee tickets, and workflows to ensure compliance.
    All other duties as assigned by management.
    The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.

    EDUCATION
    High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Bachelors' degree in healthcare related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.

    EXPERIENCE
    Minimum of one (1) year experience leading teams of five (5) or greater in an office setting preferred.
    One (1) year experience working with electronic health record systems.

    KNOWLEDGE
    Microsoft Office Suite
    Working knowledge of insurance authorizations, benefit verifications, and reimbursements.
    Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, techniques, and surgical procedures.

    SKILLS
    Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

    ABILITIES
    Effective time management abilities.
    Able to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible to adapt to all staff and patient scenarios.

    ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
    Normal office/clinic environment.
    PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
    Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
