- Initiates, develops and recommends contract support procedures for the guidance and control of contracting activities
- Tracks and consolidates repetitive contract actions for possible consolidation
- Responsible for the analysis and evaluation of contract support matters, and the initiation, development, and recommendation of contracting procedures and guidance for the 1st SFC (A).
- Analyzes the requirements of law, Federal, Department of Defense (DOD), US Special Operations Command {USSOCOM) Regulations, and other procedural and regulatory guidance to ensure that recommendations are in compliance.
- Provides advice and guidance on contract support matters to senior Commanders.
- Serves as the principal technical advisor responsible for planning and directing the work of lower graded personnel engaged in the contract support matters.
- Serves as the supervisor to civilian and military personnel
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Basic Requirement for SUPERVISORY PROCUREMENT ANALYST Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Assisting with pre-award or post-award contracting functions involving complex contracts; 2) Assisting with negotiating contract prices, terms and conditions to evaluate cost proposals; 3) Researching contractual regulatory guidance to analyze review processes for the procurement of high cost items and resolve any issues
The definition of Specialized Experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-12)
