    Primary Responsibilities as a

    Transportation Hydraulics Engineer


    include working as a key member of a hydraulic/ water resource design team for moderate to large projects and serving as a task lead/project engineer on small to large projects.

    This would include preparation of the following hydraulic design work using local or national standards:

    hydrology and hydraulic analysis, scour assessments, Roadway drainage design incl.(Hydraulic Reports), erosion and sediment pollution control design, stormwater management design, NPDES and Waterway Permits.

    Along with design, you may also be responsible for preparing Specifications and Estimates, Contour Grading and Drainage Plans, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Plans, Drainage Profiles, and Post-Construction Stormwater Management Plans.

    Finally, you may assist preparing scopes, budgets and schedules including day to day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support and advise junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants and keep the project on schedule and within budget, and perform other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    BSCE required
    PE required
    5 years of transportation hydraulic/water resource engineering design experience required
    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Microstation, ORD (OpenRoads), Civil3D, HEC-RAS, PondPack, HydroCAD, HY-8 or other design software as appropriate
    Previous work experience with an A/E/C Engineering firm
    Excellent oral and written communication skills
    An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

    Preferred Qualifications

    MSCE preferred
    Experience in the Pennsylvania/West Virginia marketplace preferred
    Task Manager for water resources preferred
