    Due to continued growth, we have an exciting career opportunity for a well-rounded and hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our team of maintenance professionals.

    The Maintenance Engineer will utilize sound engineering principles and maintenance expertise to ensure plant equipment/machinery runs smoothly, reliably and at peak efficiency.

    Summary:
    Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining our 140,000 sq. ft. facility and all related production equipment/machinery to ensure maximum operating efficiency and productivity.

    They will monitor equipment/machinery, diagnose failures, and develop & implement corrective actions/repairs to restore equipment to optimal condition. They will apply engineering concepts to optimize equipment & procedures to achieve better maintainability, reliability and availability of equipment/machinery.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the facility's maintenance program. Ensure that all facility equipment/machinery is maintained properly and working correctly.
    • Develop and maintain predictive analytics to monitor and prevent equipment/machine failures
    • Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance practices and action plans to ensure maximum equipment/machine uptime.
    • Design and develop systems, processes and procedures that optimize machine performance and efficiency.
    • Monitor equipment/machinery, diagnose & troubleshoot failures, and develop & implement corrective actions/repairs.
    • Provide technical training to management and other team members.
    • Estimate maintenance costs and evaluate alternatives.
    • Recommend and plan equipment modifications/upgrades.
    • Coordinate work performed by outside contractors, vendors and consultants.
    • Assist in spare part forecasting and management.
    • Assess the need for capital equipment replacement; provide input on new equipment design and purchases; establish replacement programs when due.
    • Assess required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment/machinery.
    • Perform equipment/machine repairs as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent technical education/training. Bachelor's degree desired.
    • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving metal fabrication or similar industry.
    • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLCs.
    • Experience with a wide variety of production equipment/machinery such as: CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, CNC Turning Centers, CNC Lasers, CNC Press Brakes, MIG/TIG Welding equipment, Spray Painting & Powder Coating equipment, etc.
    • Experience with a variety of material handling equipment such as: Jib Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, Reach Trucks, etc.
    • Flexible with a strong sense of urgency, and strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
