The Maintenance Team at our Shelbyville, Kentucky facility is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Maintenance Technician

Purpose:

To ensure the smooth operation of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities to produce high-quality products efficiently in alignment with our business objectives.

General Responsibilities:

Carries out preventative maintenance tasks.
Identifies and rectifies potential equipment issues.
Maintains equipment without hindering production processes.
Prepares plant equipment and facilities for production processes.
Responds promptly and professionally to equipment failures or facility issues.
Notifies supervisors when critical replacement parts are utilized.
Troubleshoots equipment and provides recommendations for corrective measures.
Detects and addresses equipment problems accurately and promptly.
Implements contingency plans to ensure continuous production.
Supports in mold changes.
Sets up tools and equipment needed for mold changes efficiently and safely.
Ensures safe and timely mold changes.
Inspects mold equipment for wear and replaces worn parts.
Sets molds according to operating standards.
Maintains work areas to ensure safety and prevent hazards.
Ensures proper storage of tools and equipment after tasks or projects completion.
Cleans machinery as required.
Adheres to safety standards, including lockout/tag out procedures and OSHA regulations.
Undertakes other assigned duties.

Related Experience Required:

Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in the plastics industry is preferred.
Experience working with large tonnage machines (4000 ton) is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with two barrel Italtech machines is preferred.
Ability to work independently with strong planning and organizational skills.
