We are looking for a Senior International Tax Accountant who is highly focused on their career with an ambition to grow in the firm for years to come.
This individual should have a demonstrated history of delivering an excellent work product, wanting to grow in exposure to client relationship building, and naturally adopting a collaborative approach to tax work.
This individual will be responsible for being the right hand to one of the managing partners of the firm, helping them manage their book of business both on the client-facing side and on the internal-facing side.
Key Responsibilities:
WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL
*Complete new hire orientation and onboarding.
*Complete introductory training.
*Begin learning our tax software, as well as undergo a Quickbooks refresher.
*Begin growing your internal network by meeting with Supervisors, Managers, and Partners.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL
*Prepare and/or assist with complex, international tax returns for clients in diverse industries.
*Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
*Engage clients in tax planning and calculation of estimated tax payments.
*Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations.
*Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL
*Managing international tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects, managing the budget, and meeting deadlines and client expectations.
*Assist in training and mentoring associates on client engagements.
*Review work of less experienced staff and share knowledge to develop staff technical skills.
*Anticipate and address client concerns and escalating problems as they arise.
Job Requirements:
*Knowledge of Sec 962 election and High Tax Exception.
*Great tax research experience and skills.
*Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
*Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, to represent the Firm well to client's management.
*Ability to manage multiple engagements and complete projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
*Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills and strong attention to detail.
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
