SMY-5176Location: Lafayette, INA Tier 2 plastic injection molding company is searching for an Advanced Metrology Manager with the drive and experience to manage our Metrology Lab to exceed internal and external customer requirements and expectations

Responsibilities:

Ability to recommend and implement best practices including latest technology trends in the quality/metrology industry that will fit current and future needsLead capabilities development of both people and equipment, to include programing, training, GD&T training, equipment maintenance and calibration, and new technology implementationManages budget for test lab by monitoring spending both internally and externally on a continuous basisEvaluate work request for requirements and completeness.

Coordinates engineers and technicians accordingly while monitoring progress and resolving issuesPromotes and maintains a metrics-driven service organization with a defined system to accept, prioritize, and track work requestsLeads department continuous improvement and cost reduction initiativesQualifications:Minimum five (5) years experience in manufacturing, engineering or within a testing/lab environment (Metrology Lab)

Preferred Qualifications:
