    Database Administrator DB2 and SQL

    Join our dynamic Tools and Technology team as a DevOps Engineer - Database Specialist, where the emphasis is on database platforms. We cover all aspects of RDBMS database technologies, including DB2 on IBM Z, DB2 on LUW, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and cloud databases for the enterprise. We're seeking a motivated individual with practical experience in these RDBMS, ready to contribute to our Agile Team.

    What You'll do

    • You will administer DB2 on IBM Z/OS and LUW DB2 Cluster
    • You will administer SQL Server components (Engine and SSIS) on Windows Clusters
    • You will develop, maintain, review, and deploy CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins/Ansible)
    • You will troubleshoot performance issues, optimize platforms, tune SQL queries, and provide recommendations for optimal performance
    • You will support other development and business teams on database-related changes
    • You will support ETL data transformation packages interacting with our heterogeneous database platforms
    • You will coordinate with internal feature teams for all platform maintenance, including patch management and upgrades
    • You will collaborate in Agile Team ceremonies
    • You will be on a rotational on-call schedule to resolve production system problems
    What You'll Need
    • You will have a couple of years of administering DB2 on Z/OS or DB2 on LUW, SQL Server, or Oracle
    • You will have a couple of years of experience with Database Query Optimization
    • You will have a couple of years of experience using Windows OS, such as Windows 2016/2019/2022
    • You will have experience with the installation and configuring SQL Server in Windows Cluster (2016/2019/2022)
    • You will have experience with Linux, RHEL, or SUSE Kernel interfaces
    • You will have a good understanding of logical and physical database designs
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Bachelor's in computer sciences or engineering sciences
    Bonuses for the position
    • Knowledge of LUW client utilities is a plus
    • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Cloudera is a plus
    • Experience with reporting engines such as Business Objects, Tableau, and PowerBI are pluses
    • Strong PowerShell scripting skills are a plus
    • Jenkins or related CI/CD pipeline technologies experiences are pluses
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds and SCOM, etc., are pluses
