    Toyota Material Handling's manufacturing facility includes processes for sheet metal cutting and fabrication, steel saw cutting, CNC machining, press brake and hydraulic press forming, manual and robotic MIG welding, resistance welding, powder coating, painting, assembly, and inspection.

    About the Job:

    The Production Engineering Supervisor is a technically minded, entrepreneurial professional who will lead a team of Production Engineers. The team supports the activities in the plant related to machining and forming including milling, turning, laser cutting, press brake, and cylinder fabrication. This person must be results-oriented and process focused with an approach that is responsive and aligned with company strategies.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    In this role, you will perform functions including:

    • Lead day-to-day activities and project progression of multiple Engineers and Technician level Associates.
    • Mentor and develop direct reports following TMH leadership models and practices.
    • Proactively identify continuous improvement activities within manufacturing to help our Associates work safely while increasing the quality of our products.
    • Engage with stakeholders throughout manufacturing to increase the productivity of operations to deliver Toyota's customer the best value.
    • Support organizational initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our operations while supporting the community within which we live.
    • Support manufacturing to investigate and eliminate downtime.
    • Develop a vision and path forward for the area supported by your team, which will allow new technology and automation to increase productivity and capacity to meet future sales forecasts.
    • Facilitate lean manufacturing practices within the Toyota Production System to improve material flow and inventory levels to reduce lead-time and improve safety.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Materials/Chemical)
    • 1-3 years of technical leadership experience
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment

    What You'll Need for Success:

    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization to advance your goals.
    • Ability to show initiative and work within a busy environment with conflicting priorities.
    • Flexible work ethic to meet varying workload demands of the position.
    • Experience with machining, forming, laser cutting operations including:
      • CNC machining primarily drilling, tapping, and face milling using Mazak and Fanuc controls
      • Press brake, sheet metal die forming, and tube bending
      • Laser cutting
    • Ability to communicate priorities and execute evolving action plans
    • Strong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands-on.
    • Strong work ethic, intrinsically motivated, ability to organize work and help maintain timelines on concurrent projects.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Commitment to lifelong learning and process improvement.
    • Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format.
    • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
