We are seeking a friendly and professional Medical Assistant to join our Village Pediatrics team in Frisco, TX. This role will be a combination of front and back office duties.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring a positive and seamless experience from check in to check out.
Candidates must have previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting and excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:
Manage patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedulesReview presenting issue, visit history, orders, and update EMR appropriatelyObtain vital signs and prep patient for visitFluent in medical terminology & medication refill protocolsAssist with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and updating patient recordsMaintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipmentAppropriately escalate issues outside of existing protocols to meet patient needsWork well with a diverse group of professionals in a team environmentGreet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional mannerCheck in patients and update insurance and demographic informationAnswer phones, schedule patient appointments, receive and post paymentsAct as a liaison between patients and medical support staffCollaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure seamless patient careHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalismWork efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
MA certification preferred but not requiredPediatric experience a plus1 year experience in a medical office or healthcare settingEMR experience required
