    Job Description:

    Are you a dedicated and passionate professional looking to make a positive impact in the lives of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities? We are seeking an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Specialist to join our team in Bergenfield, New Jersey. This full-time position offers competitive compensation and benefits, and it requires flexibility in working with a caseload spanning from PreK to 12th grade.

    Responsibilities:

    As an ABA Specialist in our school district, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to understand the root causes of challenging behaviors.
    • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings.
    • Provide one-on-one or small-group ABA therapy sessions to students with ASD.
    • Teach essential life skills, communication skills, and academic skills using ABA techniques.
    • Collect and analyze data on student behavior to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
    • Offer consultation to school teams and administrators regarding behavior management.
    • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to educational plans.
    • Provide crisis intervention and support during behavioral crises.
    • Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of student information and records.
    • Regularly document and report student progress to the school team, parents, and stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.
    • New Jersey state licensure as an ABA professional.
    • Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in working with a diverse caseload from PreK to 12th grade.
