    The Veterinary Eye Center of Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our inaugural team at our brand new location in Newton.

    The practice will open its doors on July 22nd. .

    We are a state-of-the-art, ophthalmology specific practice with a dynamic and rewarding culture and a focus on employee wellness. The Veterinary Assistant is vital in all aspects of our work - from client communication to patient care. You will work closely with our dedicated staff to provide best in class medical care to our patients.

    What You'll Do:
    Assist Doctors and Technicians in providing a seamless client and patient appointment experience
    Handling and restraint of patients for consultation exams and patient sample collection
    Handling and submission of patient samples to in-house and external laboratory
    Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of appointment exam rooms and appointment treatment area


    What We'd Like:
    1-2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant
    Confident in Fear Free handling and restraint techniques
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to clearly communicate with clients as well as colleagues
    The ability to adapt while maintaining a positive attitude
    Highly evolved organizational skills with an acute attention to detail
    The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
    A resourceful nature and creative problem-solving skills
    An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
    A commitment to the welfare of animals
