I like your views on writing--so true. I'm emerging from a bout of who-knows-what, and my connection to the keyboard has been tenuous. I write what I think is delicious stuff in my head, cannot drag myself to the keyboard and lose my trains of thought--causing what I have in my head to be excreted like waste.

Good advice, @Graham🐝 Edwards, using a slide deck for a presentation is a top approach in my experience. I like to work in PowerPoint, keep body text to a minimum while relying heavily on bullet-point form. The "slide show" can also be converted to a scrolling PDF page for emailing and viewing on small devices. Some people will argue that this has all been replaced these days by video. But I don't think so. At least not when you make a presentation in person -- when you are the breathing, moving, and speaking component. Sharing to Business Hub hive. Cheers!

#15 thanks for your comment Wayne, reputation is a big part of personal brand yes, but if you can’t explain yourself in words that people understand building one is going to be difficult.

    The key elements are -
    What do you do
What gives you authority and credibility
Why are you different and or better than anyone else
These are also underpinned with some “secret source”

Once you have ticked all these boxes this will enable you to create trust...

    The beauty about Bebee.

It wants me to develop a Personal Brand.

    But

It got me started without it.

I was immediately embraced as a person with a blank profile, based purely on content, which expressed an idea, not me entirely.

As a buzzword, personal branding allowed people to accept my honesty, which was earlier rejected ofr incompetence.

Personally, i think Personal Branding is a good handshake, a good first impression. Still, i did not find it necessary for bebee.

The interactions were organic, relevant, informative and relevant.

The herd is an amazing species, it gets it right less than 1% of the time but can show it as the next best thing. This is the trap, its makes you feel like you may miss out on something that one in a million benefited.

I would not reccomend day trading to anyone as a strategy. But if you want to truly understand the herd and its ability to roll over you, day trading will show you the machine. I learned about the herd and its ruthless quest to pick up the next person who doesnt want to lose out. The journey was fun, exciting and educational, but mainly costly.

Great Buzz. Something that has been very helpful for me is notebooks for me I kept from a business I was in from over ten years ago. The notebooks are of my prospects. Each time I made a personal lead, I would write down more than just the contact information.
I would write down, where and when I met the person. What I and the prospect was wearing, app age, and description. Most important, I wrote down what our conversation was about. Some of these notebooks are over ten years ago.
This is so I can try to contact them again, and try to jog their memory and not just be a cold contact, yet start off with a warm relationship. Even if they don't remember me, I like to look at the info and share what I wrote. For example, "JOHN, you may not remember me, but we exchanged information about 7 years ago overs some coffee while talking about some books we were reading while sitting at Bread Company....(I like to wait for a RESPONSE)". Then I continue with my script.

Thank you, Javier, for such an uplifting and inspirational blogging buzz filled with awesome advice! This post is a like a success "cheat sheet" per se, which readers should consider printing out and and reviewing regularly. You include so many powerful points for serious consideration and implementation. In fact, many studies show that positive people are not only happier, but healthier too!
Personally, I think the most challenging point -- at least for me -- is #2 "You have to feel comfortable with being uncomfortable." Well, one might ask, how does that work? I would say the more one adopts and repeats an initially uncomfortable behavior, habit or trait, the more comfortable one incrementally becomes with it. However, it's the initial adoption and repetition which strikes me as the hardest part. I would welcome any further advice you might have on mastering this principle.
Lastly, I've always prided myself on being a positive thinker -- especially during challenging times. I would note that it's just as easy to think positively as negatively, to see the proverbial glass half full rather than half empty. Yet this is an "acquired taste" for many people. Therefore, I suggest reading the late Rev. Norman Vincent Peale, informally known as the godfather of positive thinking. His timeless words of wisdom can help anyone become less negative and more positive. Check him out:

#1 Thanks @David B. Grinberg. When I first wrote this last year on my blog, I did it because my friend gave me Matrix challenge. His challenge for me was: Write down your goals, and write down your average daily actions. Now where on the chart do the land compared to your goal. It was then I realized that many of my actions were activities and not actions.
For example, I read, listened, and associated with those who were teaching me. Yet, these were activities that would not produce fruit toward my goal. I needed to change my focus of what I thought was action.

Always, there's a tincture of impatience in urgency; but, when something is important, then it needs a quick tempo.

Nathaniel, Good points all. Many times I find that people just beginning this work are baffled by the difficulty in finding a simple answer to the question "What do you do?" The piece of advice they seem to reflect back from my talks most often is that the answer should be conversation, not a commercial.

I agree repositioning of your brand and changing direction in your career is not easy. It is certainly possible with some time and effort. The main issue is not with society but actually being able to explain what you do in words that not only explain the key fundamentals but in fact engages the audience long enough so their goldfish brains listen to what you are saying long enough to take action...#5

Well if you are right, it is very important to create a brand but what they do not tell you is how difficult it is to change the course of your professional life.
Society has changed so much and is changing so rapidly that you sometimes think you are losing your way.
    Best regards.

#1 Hi @Proma 🐝 Nautiyal I did see your blog, but rather than addressing the very good points you make in it decided to share this as it addresses most of the reasons people need to brand themselves. Building your personal brand is something that is achieved through hard work and taking the time to share with the world a few different elements.
    1) What do you do (in words people understand)
    2) What gives you authority and credibility in your marketplace
    3) Why are you different and or better than anyone else
If you can answer these elements in enough detail then you will be at the beginning of building a personal brand as you now need to put them into words that resonate with your audience and add some magic sauce ;-)

What an empowering buzz on personal branding, @Nathaniel Schooler 🛩 Brand Marketer! I really like reading your buzzes and following your live videos. I am often asked "Why Personal Branding?" This buzz will be an excellent share to help address their questions regarding personal branding.

I recently wrote a buzz on "Why Embracing Personal Branding Seems So Difficult To Many? Tagging you on my buzz. Thank you!
