Yuna Ha

I am a biologist with broad interests in human diseases, beginning with inflammatory disorders during my Ph.D. training. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC San Diego, developing RNA-based therapeutics (miRNA, siRNA, ASO) for rare genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis. My goal is to translate innovative RNA strategies into impactful drug discovery programs.

Multidisciplinary scientist with 10 years of experience in RNA therapeutics and molecular assay development, specializing in antisense oligonucleotide–based knockdown strategies for inflammatory and rare genetic diseases, including cystic fibrosis. Extensive hands-on experience in ASO design, delivery, and functional validation across in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo models. Brings cross-functional expertise in target engagement, pharmacodynamic readouts, and efficacy evaluation, supporting translational RNA therapeutic programs.

Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, with a research focus on RNA biology, inflammation, and molecular mechanisms of disease.

Graduate training emphasized nucleic acid–based regulation, molecular and cellular assays, and translational research using in vitro and in vivo disease models, including genetic disease such as cystic fibrosis.
