Yufeng He

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a robust foundation in computational modeling, data analysis, and programming, which I am eager to apply to agriculture science. My interdisciplinary background spans mathematics, geoinformation data analysis, and plant biological modeling, equipping me with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills that are adaptable to diverse scientific challenges.

In my current role, I specialize in large-scale data processing and simulation, focusing on cross-scale modeling of biological systems—from metabolite dynamics to canopy-level growth in crops and from field to terrestrial scales in agriculture and land use. I have published several papers on these topics, including photosynthesis, energy crop growth and climate change. These work experience has honed my ability to handle complex, high-dimensional datasets, develop computational workflows, and optimize models using high-performance computing environments. I bring over seven years of programming experience, with strong proficiency in R and expertise in Matlab, Fortran, and C++. I am confident in my ability to effectively handle modeling work in agriculture, land surface and climate change.
