About Yoon Hwa Jeong:

I grew up in S.Korea. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, I started working as a software engineer at Hanwha Systems, one of the biggest companies in S. Korea.  After an enjoyable time at Hanwha, I had to resign because I decided to follow my husband to the United States where he was working after I got married.

As I mentioned earlier, I took off several years to have two children. During that time, I continued to learn. I took several accounting courses at college in the States and passed two sections of CPA exams (FARE and audit) And I believed my accounting skills would be helpful as a software engineer for communicating and working with people in financial industries.

And I recently completed a coding bootcamp to refresh my skills such as SQL, Python and JavaScript.

Now I’m looking for a new opportunity. 

Experience

I worked for Hanwha Systems, one of the largest companies in S. Korea. My client company was a big department store. I developed and maintained their purchasing and inventory management system by using VB .NET and SQL. I used Oracle database. I was also responsible for their gift-card system. I designed, developed, tested, debugged and released the new Gift Card management system. I communicated and collaborated with several teams. 

Education

I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Since my prior work experience as a software developer and education was several years ago, I recently attended a coding bootcamp software engineer program to refresh and strengthen my skills and learn more languages. It was a full-time coding bootcamp that covered full stack web development with Python, JavaScript, SQL, Flask, and React.
