Yicong Guo

My name is Yicong Guo, but most people call me Leo. I'm currently a recently graduated student from San Jose State University with a degree in Psychology BA and child development minor. Even though I majored in Psychology, I'm interested in the career field of HR/recruiting and am now looking to step my foot into the career field of HR or recruiting.

I'm a very open-minded and friendly person to be around. I hope to expand my professional network. I'm looking forward to gaining plenty of experience through internships and networking.

As a recently graduated psychology BA student, I have gained experience working in the field of customer service and HOA service. I have been able to use my knowledge of psychology to better understand the needs and concerns of customers and homeowners, and to provide them with effective solutions to their problems.

In my role as a customer service representative, I have honed my communication and problem-solving skills, working to ensure that customers are satisfied with the products or services they have received. I have also learned to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to meet the needs of our customers.

In my work with HOA service, I have gained valuable experience in property management, working to ensure that homeowners are able to enjoy their homes and communities to the fullest. I have learned to manage budgets, oversee maintenance and repairs, and respond to the needs and concerns of residents.

Through these experiences, I have developed strong interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to all those I work with. I am eager to continue building my skills and contributing to the success of my organization.

As a recently graduated student, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. Throughout my studies, I have developed a deep understanding of human behavior, child development, and the many factors that can influence them.

In my psychology courses, I have studied topics such as cognitive and social development, personality theory, abnormal psychology, and research methods. I have also gained practical experience through internships and research projects, applying my knowledge in real-world settings and developing skills such as data analysis, critical thinking, and communication.

In my Child Development minor, I have focused on understanding the unique needs and challenges faced by children and their families. I have studied topics such as early childhood education, family dynamics, and developmental psychology. I have also gained hands-on experience through fieldwork and internships, working with children and families in a variety of settings.

Together, my psychology major and Child Development minor have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and development across the lifespan. I am equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a variety of roles, from education and counseling to social services and research.
