Yevin Chon

I am a current UCSD undergraduate who is majoring in marine biology. I have experience working with tons of sea creatures at the Birch Aquarium and currently internship at the Point Loma Navy Base working with Sea Lions and Dolphins. I have also done extensive field work in Guanacaste, Costa Rica working hands on with the vast ecosystem and wild-life they have to offer, especially with Olive Ridley Sea Turtles. In addition, I have been trained in lab safety and worked at the Jensen Lab at Scripps Institution of Oceanography interacting with bacteria and dangerous chemicals. I wish to expand my skills into the veterinary field and gain some valuable experience as well as contribute my own knowledge and teamwork. :)

I am a current intern at the Point Loma Navy Base working with and training Sea Lions and Dolphins. My tasks include animal care, supervision, aid, and training. I do a lot of physical labor and am trained in professional animal care.

I graduated with a high school diploma in 2021 and am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at the University of San Diego.
