Vanessa Estela

Hi, I’m Vanessa. I’m currently a student focusing on digital forensics, looking to branch into cybersecurity; and build a strong foundation in digital investigation techniques and cyber risk management. In my current role at a call center, I work hands-on with computers every day, troubleshooting technical issues and guiding customers through solutions. This experience has helped me develop a problem-solving mindset and technical skills that I’m eager to expand into cybersecurity. I’m excited to learn more in this field and am committed to growing my expertise to protect systems and data in today’s digital landscape.

I have over five years of customer service experience across various roles in retail, healthcare, and call center environments. Currently, as a Customer Service Specialist with Widex USA, I managed Kaiser accounts and provide high-level support in a fast-paced B2B call center. My responsibilities include order processing, technical support for the ordering portal, and handling client help desk tasks for the website. I also manage Excel-based reporting and collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure efficient operations and timely issue resolution.

Previously, as a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid, I focused on prescription data entry, inventory maintenance, and timely prescription delivery, contributing to streamlined pharmacy operations. Before that, at Panda Express, I held a supervisory role where you managed opening and closing procedures, upheld safety protocols, and handled customer service issues while leading team operations.

In addition, I have seasonal retail experience from Stein Mart and Hollister, where you performed inventory management, customer transactions, and sales support.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law Enforcement Technology and Digital Forensics at Farmingdale State College, expecting to graduate in December 2025. My coursework includes specialized topics like OS Forensics and Autopsy Program, reflecting a strong foundation in forensic and investigative technologies. I have achieved academic excellence with a 4.0 GPA, earning placement on the Dean’s List and membership in Alpha Phi Sigma, the Criminal Justice Honor Society.

Previously, I completed an Associate of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Administration of Justice at Grossmont Community College, graduating with a GPA of 3.5 in December 2018.
