Passionate about teaching Social Studies subjects, such as History, Civics, Economics and Phycology. 10 years successful teaching of Social Studies, including advanced placement classes. Experienced curriculum coordinator for the subjects of Social Studies.  Master degree on educational technology, and technology implementation in the classroom. Cultural organizer for school events and regional competitions. 

I am looking for new, challenging experiences, preferably teaching positions in Western Europe, such as Germany.

 As a social studies teacher, for eight years, I have taught subjects such as World Geography, U.S History, World History, Civics, Economics and AP World History with 90% passing rate of AP test. Throughout this time, I have been ranked as highly effective teacher, providing high percentage of growth in areas that I have taught. I have also served as a chair of the Social Studies department for 6 years. This occupation included, but is not limited to • Assessing lesson plans, aiding with curriculum. • Organizing extracurricular activities related to social studies and initiating cross-curricular instructional time. • Integrated technology into classroom settings to engage students and diversify instruction. • Assessed student performance, behavior and social development and devised improvement strategies for struggling children. 

 

English Corner | Pristina, Kosovo English Language Teacher 03/2007 - 01/2010 

 Used varied instructional resources and tools to strengthen English language skills. • Worked with English language learners in small groups to develop fluency. • Developed and implemented activities and lessons to improve vocabulary and sentence structure. • Worked one-on-one with struggling students to shore up learning in specific skills and concepts. • Helped students with emotional and social challenges caused by the war trauma.
