About Tyrell Montgomery:

My excitement and passion for the law enforcement field has been something I have carried with me for as long as I can remember and my motivation to be a change in this world is what has kept me interested in the field and therefore leading me to apply for this opportunity. From my background of earning my bachelors degree in criminal justice along with my experience of being a security guard for roughly the past 6 years, I’ve also worked for the Asbury Park Police Department as a Special Officer and I’m currently working at The Wicomico County Detention Center as a Correctional Officer, all tied in with my passion for law enforcement. My goal if given the privilege is to be a change in not only my community but everywhere I go as well as work hard to change the negative stigma of what it means to work in the law enforcement field. There are many qualities that I embody that I conclude would make me perfect for this job. Just to name some of the qualities I feel are most imperative to this job, I am hardworking, I have excellent hearing and listening skills , I am patient and most importantly I live my life with integrity. When thinking of working in law enforcement I am fully aware that it is about more than just a degree and physical abilities. To work in law enforcement you have to be emotionally and socially strong too and be able to work with all different people from different backgrounds and situations and I know those are aspects I am strong in holistically.
