Reviews patient TPN order for appropriateness, checks for allergies, weight, minimum and maximum dosing guidelines for Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal, and Specialty TPN.

Oversees maintenance of Exacta-Mix 2400™ (EM2400) Compounder. Maintains formulary, for standard and patient-specific compounding, adjusting the ingredient configuration as needed. 

Responsible for compounding Control Substance sterile products such as Fentanyl, Morphine, Hydromorphone, Midazolam, Ephedrine, and anesthesia IV products. 

Supervises IV technicians, reviewing and approving their work for accuracy, and assures compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.

Assures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy, FDA and DEA. In charge of Reverse Distribution for Control Substance in compliance with DEA.

Reviews Control Substance and anesthesia orders from customers and regulates dispensing to hospitals nationwide in compliance with DEA for Control Substance.
