Tristan Lange

Hello! 

My name is Tristan Lange and I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota. I am part of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resources studying animal science. I grew up on a small dairy farm that was run by my father and his two brothers. Growing up and working on a farm caused me to develop a deep passion for the outdoors as well as for animals. In my free time I enjoy going on hikes, going to the gym, fishing, and reading. Some of my favorite books are “The Outsider” by Stephen King, and “Milk!” by Mark Kurlansky.

I grew up on a dairy farm, so whenever I am home I work on the farm by doing things such as milking, feeding, and operating heavy farm machinery. I also work at a retirement home called Temperance Lake Ridge as a Maintenance Assistant where I do things like help the head of maintenance repair broken household objects, lawn care, and small  construction work. I also have experience with crops as I worked as a crop scout for United Ag Tech. The work that I did there was comprised of retrieving soli samples, conducting yield estimates, setting traps for corn rootworms, and taking tissue samples.

I am currently a student at the University of Minnesota that is set to graduate next fall. I am part of the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resources majoring in Animal science.
