Thomas Hicks

I am a proud Media and Journalism graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill. I currently work in fundraising, communications and mentoring for a non-profit that serves college students while working as a regular freelance journalist for The Local Reporter in Chapel Hill, NC.

I bring writing and storytelling acumen into any workspace. Whether it's been a press release, news story, donor communications or case study, I specialize in analysis and presentation of information.

I've interned with a full-service communications firm where I worked with clients, placed stories and learned nuances that can only be obtained in industry experience.

My contract with my current job ends in May and I am looking to transition to full-time communications or journalism work.
