About Thomas FitzGerald:

I'm a recent graduate from Rice University's class of 2022. At Rice, I majored in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences. I'm interested in deepening my knowledge of CS to build real tools that real people need. 

My current goal is to build a web app for recording and storing symptom information on cluster headaches while simultaneously looking for translation and interpreting experience in IT, FR, ES, CN > EN.

I have experience in several aspects of linguistic services, including interpreting, translating, and language pedagogy. 

Education

My multi-disciplinary education at Rice University prepared me with the knowledge, skills, and perspective to make me an impactful team member. I majored in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences and received a certificate in Chinese Intercultural Communication and Language. Throughout my studies at Rice, I took classes ranging in scope from Engineering Computation to Traditional Chinese Poetry to Neurosystems.
