Théo Pineda y Vicens

Currently an LL.M. Candidate at NYU, I am studying in the International Business Regulation Litigation and Arbitration specialization. I am originally a French trained student from La Sorbonne. I have always been attracted to litigation, with a particular enthusiasm for arbitration. 

I am a graduate-level law student specializing in international arbitration, business litigation, and dispute resolution, with hands-on experience in leading French boutiques. I have worked on complex arbitration and litigation matters, including construction, insurance, and disputes involving sensitive and privileged information.

I am currently an LL.M. candidate at New York University, specializing in International Business Regulation, Litigation, and Arbitration, where I serve as an LL.M. Editor for the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics. My academic work focuses on international arbitration and sanctions, including a scholarly article on recent French arbitration reforms and a master’s thesis on the impact of international sanctions on access to arbitral justice.

I hold a Second-Year Master’s Degree in Business Litigation, Arbitration, and Corporate Contracts from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, earned with high honors. I distinguished myself as the highest-ranked pleader for my team at the 32nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. I previously completed a First-Year Master’s Degree in Business Law and a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Political Science, both with honors, at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, in France.
