As Chief Scientific Officer in a small medical diagnostics start-up, I lead biomarker discovery research to enhance diagnostic test development for a portable medical device targeting viral and bacterial infections. I spearhead assay development and optimization, aligning with company goals and regulatory requirements. I managed federal grant writing efforts, securing funding and presenting proposals to stakeholders. I was overseeing an interdisciplinary scientific team, provided technical guidance and mentorship.

During my PhD at University of Maryland, I applied advanced MALDI-TOF MS techniques for data acquisition, processing, and spectral analysis.
