About Temilola Babalola:
Hello! I'm Temilola Babalola, a dedicated public health professional with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology and a certificate in Sexuality, Sexual, and Reproductive Health. My passion lies in leveraging data analysis skills, honed through experience with software such as SPSS and SAS, to address health disparities and combat issues like Black maternal mortality.
My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of epidemiological research methods and a commitment to promoting health equity. My Master's thesis focused on examining the intersection of structural racism, gun violence, and maternal health outcomes, reflecting my dedication to addressing pressing public health challenges.
I am currently seeking opportunities where I can apply my expertise to make a meaningful impact on community health. Whether it's through research, program development, or policy advocacy, I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to improve health outcomes for all populations.
Experience
I have a strong foundation in public health, with a focus on epidemiology and health disparities. I gained experience as a Coordinator at Loving and Caring Health Care Services, where I managed patient care, coordinated treatment plans, and provided guidance on health concerns for over 35 patients daily. As a Research Assistant at Columbia University, I collected and analyzed large datasets for an NIH-funded project on firearm violence prevention. Additionally, I served as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia, leading discussions and grading student assessments. My skills in data analysis, stakeholder communication, and project coordination make me well-equipped for roles in public health and epidemiology.
Education
I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from Columbia University, with a certificate in Sexuality, Sexual, and Reproductive Health (2022-2024). My master’s thesis focused on the intersection of gun violence, structural racism, and Black maternal health. I also earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers University, with a certificate in Health Disparities (2018-2022). These academic experiences provided me with a solid foundation in public health research, data analysis, and addressing health inequities.
