Class Teacher, Instructional Literacy Coach, and dedicated team member with 20 years of experience. Committed to keeping abreast of new educational research and approaches addressing best practices in compliance with standards and regulations.  I have taught reception to L5. I have provided After School Tutoring services and have served as After School Coordinator. I am always committed to providing a safe and positive class environment supporting all students. 

Recently, served as an Instructional Literacy Coach for 5 years. This position entailed serving two primary schools within the District. Duties and Initiatives: Developed Professional Learning for teachers, serving Reception to L5. Also, mentored novice and veteran teachers, assisted teachers with Professional Learning Plans, modeled lessons, reviewed student data with teachers, and served on School Leadership team. During this position, I also helped develop the District Literacy Plan, working closely with Administration. 

Present position-Literacy Lab Instructor, serving Reception to Level 4 students. I designed the Lab to serve as a model classroom. The Lab integrates all Literacy Strands, along with History, Geography, and Writing. Hand on Projects/performance tasks are present within each unit of study. Novel units of study and Digital Literacy Projects are also part of the Literacy Lab instruction. 

I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, with certifications in Exceptional Child (Reception to age 18), a Reading Endorsement Certification (Reception to age 18), and Teacher Support Specialist Certification.
