My passion is rooted in advancing health equity and ensuring that access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a right. Experience

I currently serve as a Professional Consultant and Licensed Health Insurance Agent/Broker, providing Navigator and Certified Application Counselor (CAC) training and technical assistance to organizations that deliver health coverage enrollment services. I educate and enroll individuals and families in ACA Marketplace plans, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and off-exchange health plans, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations and federal guidelines. My work includes intake and eligibility screening, Marketplace application review, plan comparison and selection, regulatory interpretation, and strengthening organizational capacity to deliver accurate, client-centered enrollment assistance.

Previously, as Senior Program Manager with Foundation Communities, I led large-scale, grant-funded healthcare access programs in partnership with hospital systems and community organizations. I oversaw program budgets, contracts, compliance, data reporting, staff supervision, outreach strategy, and performance monitoring to ensure measurable outcomes and regulatory adherence. This role required strategic planning, operational oversight, cross-sector collaboration, and financial stewardship within a complex public service environment.

Earlier in my career, I served as Program Manager and Administrative Program Manager at Louisiana State University, supporting academic-research and publicly funded initiatives through fiscal administration, procurement, reporting, and policy implementation. I also held state service as HR/Fiscal Manager for the Louisiana Spirit Crisis Counseling Program, a federally funded disaster response initiative, where I managed human resources operations, payroll, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal funding requirements. Across all roles, I have consistently applied public administration and business administration principles to lead programs with accountability, transparency, and sustainable impact.

Education

I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Our Lady of Holy Cross College. My academic foundation in business administration and organizational leadership strengthens my expertise in financial management, strategic planning, operations, and program governance. In 2025, I became a State of Texas Licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent (General Lines), further formalizing my expertise in healthcare coverage, regulatory compliance, and consumer enrollment. This combination of advanced education and professional licensure reinforces my leadership in advancing equitable access to health insurance and public benefit programs.
